Over generations and generations, the ancient woodland of Børe prospered and grew. The spirit of the world lifted the animals to new heights, bestowing great gifts upon them. The Foxen race grew proud and true. That is, until the Guardians rose. No one quite knows why they came, but these are not the kind, life-giving Guardians of spiritual legend. These are darker, more ferocious versions, and now they're wreaking havoc in the realm.

Skulk Hollow is a 2 player asymmetrical combat game from Pencil First Games (Herbaceous Sprouts, Lift Off!). In it, players take the role of either a spiritual Guardian trying to protect the ancient woodland, or a band of Foxen warriors set on securing their home from destruction.

Interestingly, the battle takes place across multiple game boards - both on the world map and on the guardian's body. Action cards provide power, special Foxen abilities, movement, and epic guardian attacks.

The band of Foxen heroes win the game by eliminating the Guardian, and the Guardian can win by destroying the Foxen King or by gaining sufficient Tribute.

Skulk Hollow has a really interesting one vs many asymmetrical game mechanic, multiple game boards, and some pretty cool meeples! It's clear why this game has already almost doubled its original Kickstarter goal.

There are also some nice stretch goals which have already been released, and more which will no doubt be unlocked during the three weeks it still has left on Kickstarter. As if the game wasn't enough, the Kickstarter pledge also comes with the Ancient Relics expansion set free!
