I could have gone for toxic gas, but was happy with fire instead.

Ironjawz Yellow Contrast Paint and some Averland Sunset For the bottom of the plume, then Magmadroth Flame Contrast for the top and messing with some Casandora Yellow wash to blend the two.

When I primed these there was a flick or black primer from above to help with the progression to black smoke.
