Collecting together more of the information from the recent releases on the UK Games Expo it appears as if we're going to have a lot of cool debuts and more at the convention when it hits June 2nd-4th this year. We'll start with the debut of the game, Everdark.

Everdark

This is a twisting team game where you're trying to make it to the centre of the maze. However, you want to do this before everyone else so you might have to start screwing over the others in order to make that happen. The catch is that if anyone is ever lost in the maze you ALL lose.

So, the game becomes a delicate balance of teamwork and semi-cooperation while also ensuring your own survival. Sounds fun!

Trefl At The Expo

A big company, Trefl, are going to be attending the event in other news and will have card and board games for you to come and check out.

...which sounds pretty awesome. It's neat to have some games which cross over the bridge between child and adult focused and will tax you a little bit!

Ominoes 2nd Edition

We also have a quirky take on dominoes with Ominoes from Yay Games coming to the event.

Ominoes

This simple game is getting its second edition and you'll be able to snap it up at the event to give it a go. As mentioned, it's very simple...

"You roll an Ominoe dice, then move one that matches it three spaces in any direction then place the rolled one anywhere on the board. You could be moving your own pieces or screwing your opponents up. Things get very tense and silly in just a few turns.”

It sounds like one of those perfect smaller games to drop into the mix as you're waiting to dive into a larger tabletop experience.

What do you think of the news?

"It's neat to have some games which cross over the bridge between child and adult focused and will tax you a little bit!"
