The model is a 75mm monster featuring that rather awesome wolf, ready to pounce, and his Orc rider who is glowering down at the next foe that needs to be smote with that mace of his.
It’s great seeing the texture work that has come out from the fur of the wolf and the style of the musculature for the Orc where he doesn’t just look like some hulking beast but decidedly more natural.
The sculpting for this was done by Allan Carrasco and the painting by Marc Masclans & John Keys based on the artwork by Karl Kopinski which you can see below.
I’ve yet to attempt anything on this scale but it would be great to give something like this a go. Maybe some of you could include some tips for painting big models like this?
