Let’s Play: Hand of the King

With the final episode of season 7 airing today, Az has challenged Justin to a game of Hand of the King from Fantasy Flight Games.
Each of them takes turns utilising the Master of Whispers himself, Varys, into visiting characters around Kings Landing in an attempt to win the favour of major houses. Whoever can win over the majority of a family will gain their banner and support, leading to victory.
However, whoever claims the final family member holds more sway and can gain aid from Companions to back-stab, kidnap or change character allegiances! Nothing is ever certain in Game of Thrones and it's not any different in Hand of the King.

Great looking game. I love these simple, quick but brain-achingly reading several moves forward games.
Nice use of the theme too!

Hey Az, actually, you won!
You would have picked up the second Greyjoy, leaving Justin no othe roption, but go for the Stark, giving you the last Stark, choosing the Hound to kill that Tagaryen at the top, forcing Justin to take the other Tagaryen, leaving you the last Lanister FTW.

I liked the game, but I don’t follow GoT. Is there a version of this for other themes? I can’t play it just ignoring the theme, because then I have to listen to people yell at me for not following GoT 🙂
