Sail As A Deadly Viking In Shipwrights Of The North Sea

Since today is meant to be the time of Ragnarok we need something Viking to kick things off this Saturday. Filling that quote is Shipwrights of the North Sea, a Kickstarter I stumbled upon while I was browsing the website. This game by Garphill Games looks like a very cool worker placement/card drafting game!

The game puts you at the head of a tribe of Vikings looking to be masters of the Northern Seas before heading out for fame and fortune to make sagas of your voyage. It plays with between 2 and 5 players and you can check out a gameplay video above of it in action.

The game comes with a bunch of awesome cards that have really epic cartoon Vikings on them as well as some ace landscapes and interesting ships. Added to that a rather polished looking set of components and you have yourself a rather snazzy looking game.

At a quick look over the rulebook it seems like it plays pretty well too so I might actually find myself investing in this on Ragnarok and then playing it in the afterlife of Valhalla with a mug of mead! Skol!
