WizKids Prepare A Mighty Sailing Ship For Your D&D Adventures

WizKids is going all out when it comes to their pre-painted miniatures collection for Dungeons & Dragons. One of their latest miniatures is the hefty Falling Star Sailing Ship which is up for pre-order now with a release date of January 2019.
If you were wondering about the dimensions of this thing it's 17.2″ tall, 33″ long, and 6.4″ wide (12.6″ wide at the masts!). So yes, this is a massive ship that is perfect for adventures upon the high seas where your party would be facing off against plenty of underwater terrors.
The ship features removable decks allowing you to fight across the multiple levels of the ship. It also comes with magnetised components so that it's easy for you to store this behemoth!
This certainly makes a difference to your standard dungeon delves, doesn't it! I think this would be great as a way to play out a series of adventures over maybe one or two sessions. You could use this as the focal point for players to defend against pirates and monstrous foes and then as their base of operations when they finally arrive at their destination.

This looks amazing. I’ve held off buying a pirate ship but perhaps this will be the one. Any news on the price point?

Sounds reasonable but I’d be saving the hooby pennies for ages to get that much together.
IT has ports which can be use for guns and later periods…cool!

However, for most ship battles, you need two ships.
The group I DM for, regularly travel aboard the «Safe Passage», a ship captained by a quite charming, half-elf veteran of the «half-breeds» war. I might have to seriously consider getting a hold of this, as both she and her ship will surely appear again, and prove an important part of my group’s continuing adventures.

I’m currently building a Waterdeep campaign that I will insert into the upcoming Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage adventures. I was debating on having the groups base of operations take place in a church or a docked ship. I think this just sold me on the ship idea as it’s going to be quite big and modular. So excited to see the finished product. Wow!
