Gorgeous Scrolls From Elderwood Academy On Kickstarter

Sometimes when I'm paging through Kickstarter, I stumble on something that makes me stop and say, "Wow."
The Scroll and Codex: Dice Tower and Rolling Tray are one of those projects.
Elderwood Academy has made these absolutely beautiful, wooden and leather scrolls that double as dice storage, a dice tray, and even a dice tower should you choose to use it in this way. Functionality aside, I would want one of these if it didn't do anything besides look beautiful. Just think of how great something like this would look on your shelf or on your game table.
This is another one of those items that would make the perfect gift for a die-hard gamer - you know, the one that's impossible to buy for?
You can choose the type of wood, the design of the scroll and what functionality you need in the scroll. The rolling tray actually rolls out of the scroll and is held together with magnetic bearings.

It’s funny how something you never thought you would need, done well, could so quickly become something of interest.

I love things like this. I prefer to make the games I have more beautiful than spending money on getting more games .
I think a modest but tastefully done collection is so much nicer than a large discordant wall of colour. that being said I do like the charm of a gaming room with books and boxes piled on top of yet more books and boxes.

I really like the charm of SOMEONE ELSE’S gaming room with walls dripping with color, and when the night is finished I can head back to my modestly tasteful abode and sleep in interior design confidence. : )
