Battlefront Miniatures has a massive array of different releases coming for the Germans in Flames Of War this week. The focus this time turns towards some armour and artillery with a series of new boxed sets. First up we'll take a look at some vehicles.

At the top of the release list, we have the Tiger Tank Platoon which will be of specific use when you're looking to push forth the front line and take the fight to the Allies. These Tiger Tanks are then supported by the Fallschirmjager StuG Assault Gun Platoon which will be doing some expert tank hunting. I can already sense Warren's ears tingling.

Some additional support then rolls in behind to help with troop transportation and artillery with the look at the Sd Kfz 251 Transports...

...and also a few more reequipped options with the Gun Platoon Mortar Section. This means that you can move things into position quickly and keep the mortars firing, blasting apart enemy defences before your troops leap in off the back of those transports above.

These neat vehicular options will go well with your German force and give you lots of fast-moving options as well as elements which form a little more of a core defensive heart. It would be rather awesome to see these vehicles powering across the French countryside and through the streets of cities.

Big Guns Never Tire

As well as the release of the vehicles you see above we also have a range of new artillery options too with the 8.8cm Heavy AA Platoon at the fore...

...plus the 15cm Nebelwerfer Battery and the 10.5cm Artillery Battery as well. Both of these are a lot more stationary compared to the fast-moving elements we've seen before but it makes sense for a dug-in German defence force.

Finally, we also have a smaller set which is the 12cm Mortar Platoon. This could be attached alongside some of your existing infantry elements from your force just for a little bit of extra strength.

As it stands this is the first big release for the Germans where we're getting all sorts of additional goodies for them to add more character to your force. Now you'll really be able to tweak things to suit your playstyle.
