Abe Sapien & An Alternate Hellboy Previewed By Angel Giraldez

Abe Sapien joins the BPRD as another of the heroic characters on your side against fantastical horrors in Mantic Games' Hellboy: The Board Game.
He is an intellectual as well as a capable fighter, as you'll see here with a harpoon gun in hand and pistol in the other. An awesome character in the films, he is no doubt a great character on the tabletop too.
Angel's Hellboy
We saw one version of Hellboy by Angel Giraldez last week. Well, we now have another version that he's painting up showing Hellboy in all of his horned awesomeness.
One assumes that we're going to have alternative sculpts for a lot of the characters in the game. This one here shows Hellboy bringing his fist back to deliver a knock out punch to whatever monster has stepped in his way.

Very nice indeed. These are some of the best sculpts Mantic has produced, really.

Abe Sapien looks really good.
Isn’t the horned Hellboy his father’s heir, commander of the hellish host and the beast of the Apocalypse, true Anung Un Rama?
Or not quite yet? Remember him having huge recurving horns in that incarnation.
In the film the Hellboy with Horn’s was when he went to hell they had flames between them and he was meant to be the general of hells army.
I cannot wait for this. Can you guys please do some lets plays for the game during the kickstarter period?
The next Hellboy version should be one with him having a REALLY BIG cigar that would dwarf a Havanna. And of course wearing a casual muscle shirt that colourwise contrasts happily with his gorgeous red skin.
Alternate sculpts. Because sometimes you’re in the middle of painting when everyone else wants to play the game. 😀
This game has so much potential, missus is backing this one as it has her favourite co-op keyword.
