The Twilight Kin Cruise Into Mantic’s Armada With New Fleets

Mantic Games has put together a new fleet for those diving into the waters of the Fantasy naval warfare game, Armada! The Twilight Kin are now on the warpath with a Starter Fleet and more to get you going on the high seas.
Twilight Kin Starter Fleet // Armada
The Starter Fleet obviously start things off for those wanting to get stuck into this warped and twisted faction. Within this set, you get a Twilight Kin Soulbane, Impaler and Banshee for you to use on the tabletop. You'll also find all of the cards, bases and tokens that you'll need for gameplay.
If you want more Twilight Kin then you can also pick up the Booster Fleet which gives you a few more options when building a list.
Twilight Kin Booster Fleet // Armada
This set adds in a Twilight Kin Assassin (with parts to make a Heart Seeker), alongside an Impaler and four smaller ships known as Needlefangs. I really like the design of these ships. You can tell that they were once owned by some grand navy and they have now been warped and changed by the Twilight Kin. The screaming faces on their hulls and the twisted magical "enhancements" take things to that next level and should be a blast to paint.
You can also go big with your Twilight Kin and the Butcher!
Twilight Kin Butcher // Armada
The Butcher is going to be quite the scourge of any Bay that it hoves into. I think it would be pretty awesome and riddickulous (I apologise for nothing) to see this start causing mayhem on the tabletop. Once again, you've got that twisted, screaming hull and the transition between that and the rest of the boat will be fun for those who like playing around with wet-blending.
Last but not least we have some Fliers which are going to be soaring over the seas and plucking sailors from the decks of their ships.

Call on the powerful jaws of the Gordrakes to start ravaging your opponents and then send in the gargoyles to finish off the bloody work. I am all for contraptions but I much prefer monsters so it's neat to see these have been added into the mix for the Twilight Kin.

Interesting ship design
Eh, I dunno. These Armada groups are kind of hit-or-miss. The Empire of Dust fleet was great, the Dwarf fleet was super boring. This one is basically just a collection of average looking ships with mouths on the fronts. I feel like Mantic can do better.
Great looking new ships with a Nurgle hint to them.
Those are nice looking ships and monsters.
Now they just need the KoW army.
Looks a bit too much like the human ships with bits on ..
At least the Orks had different weapons and the Dwarfs had their own design.
I like the designs, and they are pretty in those colours. However the inner nerd in me keeps coming up with “but rams need to be below the waterline…” 😀 If the gaping maws were sort of half submerged the designs would be more convincing to me.
