Klukva Miniatures have just summoned up a Bone Lord and his shambling retinue for pre-0rder and he looks like a jolly fellow based on his smiling face and the grins of his fiends faces.

This revenant and retinue look like a horrific mob to set on a party of adventurers in any dungeon and I love the archer and swordsman clawing their way from the earth in a Ray Harryhausen feel. I hope there are plenty of Argonauts on standby to engage this bevy of brutes or Jason is about to join a different crew.

The stand out sculpt for me has got to be the Bone Lord himself.

Like Lloyd I'm a great believer that undead should be wearing plain armour, not something forged by undead smiths with a bat and skull fetish. This monster ticks that box fantastically well, the menace on the face and the touch of having hair and beard clinging on is unusual but really stands out to make him unique. He is striking the Vader pose and it works, classics never go out of fashion after all.

They've been very clever with how they have designed the miniature to allow the skeleton to show through the armour and the touch of weapons is handy for people who favour their Bone Lords with sword instead of Crushing Mace o'Doom!

You can pre-order the Bone Lord and friends now from Klukva's website with release date scheduled for April 1st. A really nice touch is you can order any of the figures, you can even just take the minions and drop the Lord, although why anyone would wish to do that is beyond me. The Bone Lord will be joining Morgoth's forces in my Undead army, but I can see a lot of people picking these up just to paint.

Join me now and we can rule the world as undead father and undead son!
