Meet The Men At Arms Of Para Bellum’s Conquest

Another look at what's coming for Para Bellum Wargames' Conquest today as we see how the Men At Arms are shaping up for the Hundred Kingdoms, the backbone and 'cannon fodder' of their army on the tabletop.
This fellow is certainly looking stoic and stalwart. The armour design is nicely tied into Medieval themes that we're familiar with but with a few Fantasy twists like the cool belts (always need loads of belts in Fantasy) and the style of the armour across the shoulders.

While the original system was tied into a feudal system it all changed with the later years of the empire's development. Now the Men-At-Arms are professional soldiers and they range from mercenaries all the way up to household guards for the nobles of the land.
They are an important cog in the wheel of the Hundred Kingdoms.

Cool concept art but definitley needs more colour and iconography. Otherwise he looks like a generic soldier with custom armour. A background text is great but this hobby is primarily a visual medium, one should be able to look at a piece of artwork or mini and get what it is all about from looking at it.
How the f*ck can you criticise a piece of art like that? It’s like something from the wall of a gallery.

I’ve just received my Para Bellum gift package 😀
2 spire archers and a spire brute in preproduction resin. The production models will be plastic.
The brutes are enormous! Sitting on a 53mm round Base while the archers stand 43mm tall (not including their bows) they fit nicely on a 25mm Base.
These minus certainly appear to be 32/35mm scale though I haven’t had the chance to compare yet.
I cannot wait to get stuck into a painting video for these 😀

I’ve popped them up on Dakkadakka. They are white resin so it was hard getting a decent picture. I’ll be painting them up soon enough though
