Gotta watch out for those Fokkers
love the wings of war range
This is a cracking plane. Although the red Baron made the DR1 famous most of his 80 kills were achieved in the albatross .
Although the DR1 one is a very slow plane compared to some of the faster Allied aircraft it is extremely manoeuvrable with its short wings producing a large area of lift . This is an excellent aircraft to operate close to the edge of the mat by doing this you can entice the Allied enemy into overreaching and flying off the mat making them lose the fight
I got to watch a full-sized replica of this plane land on the little grass strip next to our employee parking lot at work last summer. It was painted up as von Richthofen’s DR.1, however. Very pretty, and fun to watch.
I’ve only played Wings of War once in the local gaming club but it was fun and we didnt even used the altitude cards. Just chasing each other and getting a few turns of shooting on another plane was fun
Woo! Roy Brown!
WoW – nice game, although at times, it is difficult not to knock a plane or card out of position when maneuvering. I like the card damage system as well.
I thought BOW were featuring this game more after their intro a few weeks ago, variety is the spice of life rather than heavily featuring a single game ie “To infinity and Beyond”
