We have featured this game before on the site, but check out these utterly awesome images of Super Dungeon Explore snagged from Gen Con this past weekend.
Inside the box you get a mighty 50 miniatures along side a mass of tiles to create your amazingly detailed dungeons.
The game is played with 2 to 6 players with obviously one of your bunch taking the role of the deadly Dark Consul intent on spoiling your chibi based fun.
The game is incredibly simple with a basic combat mechanic where all you have to do is roll more stars than the other player on a number of dice. Potions, items and all manner of other bits and pieces can be shared with ease and it’s all about the loot!
After every round of slaying enemies arcade style you get to draw a bunch of loot and treasure cards that can be used and traded whenever you like. You can then use these in additional round of combat from then on. The big bad boss at the end of the dungeon though might make you think about when you will use those special items!
With a great amount of quests to go on and plenty of cards to draw every time you delve deeper into the dungeon this could prove an essential buy for any budding dungeon dweller…IF you can get past the chibi bit which I hope you will.
Check out Soda Pop Miniatures site and also try out the demo Rise of the Kobolds!
