The Fantasy Flight Gears get a New Mission

As an expansion to their board game version of Gears of War, Fantasy Flight Games now have a Print on Demand (PoD) pack which extends your experience within the Locust infested world...
This new Mission Pack sets your team some interesting objectives. The first is 'Search for the Stranded' where you must find an isolated Scavenger while avoiding the Locust and their dreams of killing you.
The other is 'The Showdown' where your COG soldiers must bring down a deadly Berserker before facing off against the dangerous General RAAM.
It will be interesting to see how this PoD Pack goes down, but the overall feeling is that it is simply a good thing allowing the game to expand like this. The PoD structure is something Fantasy Flight are playing with a lot right now so could this be moving into other board and card games too?

PoD is a good way to provide extra content without splashing out on a whole new expensive-to-produce box set (and with the quality of the Gears Of War components it would be hard to match without spending out) and allows FF to gauge interest in a future big budget expansion – if this sells, then interest is ongoing so it’s worth the effort.
I know it would be unwieldy in a board game setting, but I’d like to see a Centaur model at some point 😉 so here’s hoping this goes well.

I picked the main box up a few days ago and am waiting on delivery. With regards to the Raam character, is there a mini to represent that character in the board game?
