WizKids are at it again, bringing us card games featuring some of the past's most prevalent TV characters. Whether we are heading off to Philidelphia with Will in Summertime or in their recent adventure or being given the opportunity to 'truly make it so', to explore the galaxy in Star Trek Missions  - the card game.

For those who are familiar with the combo-building style of Fantasy Relams, you'll have no problem picking up Star Trek Missions. The popular mechanic used translates over to the upcoming card game, providing players with the chance to build combos with their own Star Trek-themed deck.

If you couldn't tell by the cover art - the game features popular characters from across the franchise. With the chance to crew up a commanding team of your own from all corners of the Star Trek universe.

Card Preview // Star Trek Missions

Players must attempt to assemble their cards in a way of achieving the highest possible combinations:

"In Star Trek Missions, your goal is to assemble the highest-scoring combos possible by drawing cards from the Galaxy deck, the Mission deck, or the discard area. The cards are worth varying point values depending on the other cards in the player’s hand. As players want to have the highest scoring hand at the end of the game, they’ll want to find the most valuable combinations of galaxy and mission cards during play."

The mechanic seems incredibly easy to pick up given the 'discard one card and draw a replacement' mechanic, and even easier if you know your way around Fantasy Realms. With the chance to add a 'random' aspect to the game strategically to keep players from repeating the same process over and over again and coming up against the same crews time and time again.

The game is set to release in February 2022, but if you wanted to get your pre-orders in pop into your FLGS, or check-in at the WizKids store to prepare to assemble your crew.
