Mantic Games' Deadzone: Infestation Kickstarter is coming to a close over the next few hours and the next target for them to have a crack at is the Forge Father Steel Warriors and Stormrage Veterans!

Steel Within!

If they reach their next target they will be able to unlock a sprue of hard plastic (and we assume multi-pose) Steel Warriors for use in your Deadzone games and of course the future of Warpath!

As you can see they look fairly epic and they are a massive step up from the previous designs that we'd seen when Warpath first kicked off. I particularly like that they've given focus to splitting up the armour plates allowing you to paint them much easier. This was a huge bugbear for me when I was looking at the previous iterations of these models.

These squat warriors will feature in pledges of Quarantine and higher.

Extra Firepower

As well as the Steel Warriors there is some additional fire support incoming from the new and improved Stormrage Veterans too! See what you think of the renders below which show off the hard plastic kits with some special weapon options...

Once again a better definition between armour plates is key and the way in which they hold their weapons looks a lot more natural and easier to play with on the models. These models will come as a duel kit with the Steel Warriors allowing you to make them alongside your more basic troops.

I think this is a great step forward for the Forge Fathers and I can't wait to see more!
