Lord Commander Eidolon Strikes From Forge World

Another addition to the Forge World Horus Heresy Character Series today with Lord Commander Eidolon of the Emperors Children! With jetpack and gleaming silver and purple armour he is quite the striking figure on the battlefield...
"Lord Commander Eidolon was the pre-eminent commander of the Emperor’s Children. An exemplar of the Legion, he embodied the perfection sought by the sons of Fulgrim.
His arrogance and search for perfection led him to the ministrations of Chief Apothecary Fabius in his quest to ‘improve’ upon the designs of the Emperor of Mankind."
Eidolon is armed with his archaeotech pistol and a mastercrafted thunder-hammer that looks fairly cruel as far as hammers go. I like that it carries over that eagle design from the rest of his armour, descending from the skies to smash his enemies to smithereens.
He also comes with alternative heads allowing you to have him with a helmet or just the bare head you see above. I think I'd go for the bare head just so you can see the contempt on his face.

I assume the cape is made from Asbestos.
It looks great, but I’d rather the helmeted version to hide that super emo haircut.

I catually like the hair. It gives him more character, making him fit in more with the Fullgrim crowd.
What an arrogant p(&*$ he is, think i’ll have to grab him for my allied Emps Children. Really torn on the helmet and head though. I don’t like the part bald and part long hair but then i can see how it suits him.
Great looking model. He does not fool around with foot on thing.

I wish / hope that FW do before Heresy and after Heresy versions of their characters eventually as it would be nice to see what they could come up with for the likes of Horus and others like Lucius.
I’m sure they are planning on doing this eventually.
I guarantee FW will do the Daemon Primarchs.
I think they’ve still managed a sneer on the helmet, looking at the shape of the eyes and the lower part of that unusual face plate.
I’m with you there Solar, characters like Meduson, Little Horus, Maloghurst, and lets be honest… who doesn’t want to see a proper version of Garro?!
I’m still reading Legion which is I think book 6 or 7 so I haven’t seen the transformation of many of the characters yet.
I think so far in the books that I have read the main characters who have been transformed drastically are the Emperors Children, as well as some elements of the Death Guard (like the ones who were brought back to life on the Eisenstein).
I have to be honest and say that although I appreciate what Abnett was going for, I’m not massively enjoying Legion so far.
I’ve not read that one myself, its on the list but its on a back burner as im forcing myself not to buy any Alpha Legion stuff right now.
Yeah I think the ones that changed the quickest are Word Bearers and the Emperors Children as they get really in to the Chaos aspect. Especially Fulgrim!
I’m surprised they didn’t do an early Lucius though it’d be nice to see a touch of him and Fabius.
