Battle for Berlin - A (Semi) Historical Campaign and Hobby project FoW V4

Hello there and welcome back, this part will focus in what needs to be done army wise! (for me), this revolves around the whole army being painted but with the first battle being for the Seelow heights there are afew certain units that need doing (not to say that i’ve been idle, some stuffs done).

The (mostly) completed:

The main army focus for this first game is going to be a company from the 9th army on the Oder, this means the butchers bill for painting will be quite high, below are the pictures for what has been completed so far:

From left to right we have:

• Grenadier Schützen Platoon
• 4 Marder III H’s
• A  Hitlerjugend platoon

These will all be used as and when they can be fit into an army :).

The next set of images are what need to be done for the army to be complete before the first game, this may be unlikely but i’ll see where the army ends up in terms of painting before the first game.

As can be seen there is variety of heavy AA guns, arty and infantry to be finisehed but these are for later battles closer to the centre of Berlin itself.

Where’s the armour?

There are several pieces of armour still ‘in the workshop’ as it were, these include tigers of a couple of flavours, stuG’s and panzer IV’s (also a surprise appearance from a small rodent!).
