Victrix have been coming up with some fun transfer kits for their Ancients range and the latest is a limited run of Rude Roman Shield Graffiti that would have been daubed on the front of legionaries shields when they were bored in camp and wanted to annoy their enemies.

The shields are covered in a range of slurs and very obvious parts of the human body that might enrage the enemy and make the odd soldier laugh...
As we mentioned above these are going to be a limited edition run from the 17th of May till the 24th of May so if you want to add a bit of smut to your shields then you better get on it sharpish. I think this adds a nice level of character to a unit and marks out some rather funny individuals within a larger army.
Will you be using these for your Republican Roman Legionaries?

I’ve been told I now need fluency in latin for my Masters… dreading it. My knowledge of it is limited to army cap badges!

lol I only remember those basic phrases (probably got them wrong too), it would be pretty cool to be able to speak Latin properly though.
There’s a certain level of repetition making them kinda simple to decode, They’ve even included a parlance symbology to help the illiterate plebs with the interpretation.
