Lookout Games Preview Isle Of Skye: Druids Expansion

Lookout Games has detailed the second expansion for Isle Of Skye, a fantastic tile-laying board game, which looks towards some mystical allies in the form of the Druids!
Isle Of Skye is a tile-laying game a bit like Carcassonne but there is a little more depth to the tactics you choose to employ in this game. As well as a mechanic at the start of each turn where you price each of your tiles, allowing you to lock out certain choices for players (if you're lucky) you also have game rounds where different aspects of the tiles will score each time.
This might mean that sheep are worth nothing one turn and then lots the turn after, or you might even garner points for simply building your set of tiles in a certain way. The Druids expansion adds another layer on top of that where special tiles will now gain you various curses and boons to use on yourself and your opponents.
As well as offering another simple scoring tile the powers that you can employ might change the game drastically and offer up a chance for lots of points or a way to crush your opponent before they can become King of these beautiful islands.
This sounds great and immediately made me want to play more Isle Of Skye again...
