We've got some awesome pieces to show off this week, pulled from the What Are You Painting Now? thread over on the Hobby & Painting Forum which has seen itself grow into another mammoth list of what everyone is up to.

While we've picked from there this week it would also be nice to see community members continuing to build their own threads in the Hobby & Painting Forum showing off their individual projects too. So, get creating and sharing with us and you might win a Golden Button like these lucky folks.

DeepWars Beasts by hephesto

First up we have this amazingly well painted DeepWars beast of the sea by hephesto. It's absolutely amazing to see more of these models appearing on the forums giving us a glimpse into how you're painting up these wonderful miniatures.

DeepWars #1 by hephestos

Some incredible work has gone into the scales and the bright reds here. We also love the way the teeth and spines have been picked out as well as the beady yellow eye.

DeepWars #2 by hephestos

As we always say, a base helps to frame the model and you certainly feel that in this case. The darker base really allows the brighter miniature to shine. You continue to notice cool things about the model as you go on including the nice way the scales have been subtly highlighted in places.

More DeepWars is also on the painting bend for hephesto as you can see below...

DeepWars #3 by hephestos

Some base colours are already down on these models we can't wait to see how they turn out. While the big fish is clearly going to be something we'll keep an eye on we also love those little green Dagathonians too.

Troll by lightsout1985

We now move onto an equally well-painted monster, but one that dwells on land instead. See what you make of lightsouts1985's Troll...

Troll #1 by kevlin

Painted to represent a rather bloated mess of flesh and muscle we think they've gone a good job working on bringing out that slick and disgusting feel for the Troll.

Troll #2 by kevlin

The spots of colour like the armour, weapons and the deep red tabard help to bring the model to life a bit more too. If we had one thing we'd add maybe the highlighting of the skin could go a level higher to bring it away from the darker skin and therefore add a bit detail to the model from further away.

Apart from that, this is a stunning model and we love the base too!

Deathguard by kevlin

Last but not least - you haven't escaped from Warhammer 40,000 yet! Here we have some Deathguard painted up by kevlin.

Deathguard by Kevlin

As well as creating a scheme which looks realistic and fitting with the idea of the Deathguard, it's also got Justin wondering what techniques were used here so he can use them on his own models. We're loving how the scheme has come together on both the Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000 miniatures.

Also, if you'd like to know more about The Everblight then you can find out about them on kevlin's thread all about his army bringing the background to the fore.

Show Us Your Stuff!

We’ve been blown away by the work from the community once again and would love to see your work in the Hobby & Painting Forum.

All you have to do is head over to the forum linked above and start your own topic to start posting your work. It’s simple to upload photos of your work-in-progress and finished projects and we like seeing the process unfold.

We also don’t mind if you’re a newcomer to painting or a veteran. Everything you folks do inspires us to keep at it with our hobby and we have a wonderful community who like to get involved and share techniques.

What do you think of our entries to the hall of fame this week?
