In a game of Kings of War is where these commanders meet. Rob and his dwarven warriors are still tipsy from their midnight revelry and Matt's goblins enjoy resting their knives between shoulder blades. Gerry oversees and laments the inclusion of one key unit in one of the forces as the game continues.
It's a fascinating game that was played between a reserved defence of ranged units against sweeping cavalry charges and baiting techniques.

Hands down the best fantasy wargame at the moment.
It has great and well balanced rule that is further finely polished this edition. Not to mention how beautiful the new Northern alliance looks fantastic
The convoluted rules were what initially turned me off from another fantasy wargame back in the day. But looking through KoW rules for me interested in rank and file wargames again!
Eagerly awaiting the knock on the door to receive my copy to dive in and see how everything has moved on.
me too, my copy is coming from the south because I wanted to wait longer and pay more to help out a new store, I hope Tim appreciates that 🙂

In third edition do you no longer have to maintain the 1″ separation from enemy units? (still waiting on my copy arriving, not sad, i swear)
yes/no. If you’re locked charging, pivoting or disengaging then 1″ is ignored. Otherwise yes ignore it. No bounce back means you don’t move combats
Very nice game and a lot of fun with very few miniatures. 6 rounds in a little more than an hour is great. And up to now magic hasn´t played a part. Please do another let´s play and use some spellcasters or something. I hope it´ll get even better.

I only own one Rock Elemental Titan jobby, do I need more? Though my Dwarfs are going to be a more shooty type of army!
Even a small game like this shows why Inspiring is so important in KoW – never leave home/cave without it.

Rob got robbed with his Brock charge against the boomers. He only got given 20 dice instead of 26. Didn’t stop him from wiping them out. Always count out your own handful of dice 🙂

There are orcs the only difference between them and wfb (if your army comes from there) is goblins are a separate army you can still take them as allies though
I really wanted a sweaty gigante t-shirt or a pizza jesus one. If you check out some mastercrafted videos you’ll understand why.

a great game video, love the chunky figures with few delicate parts.
My favorite part, from a modeler’s perspective, is the unit basing. I love that my dwarf army looks like a bunch of little, interconnecting dioramas, so much fun to build.
I’m thinking the Nightmares will need color shifting paint.

Definitely #TeamOgre. The contrast with the gobbos really works, both iin terms of aesthetics and game play.
I am interested in looking in to this game. Especially since I went all in on the Desert of the Dead kickstarter

Just waiting for the new rule book to show up in my mailbox. Hopefully, the 400 page tome doesn’t herniate my letter carrier. (They use trucks around here to deliver, so it shouldn’t be too much trouble.)

I got the first and second set of rules for this game and have used it in place of the Fantasy Battle game that I played since I was in high school. I really like the look of the rules. Would love to win the box set. My wife plays so it means I always have an opponent or ally regardless of the game we get.
Love that it is evolving, but not in a way that robs the game of its cleanness and straightforward tactical play! Long live the King!
