About the Project

Following an amazing time at the Bolt Action BootCamp, I want to continue and build out my forces and gaming tables. I am going to need lots of help and I apologise in advance for getting lots wrong.

This marks 200 miniatures painted in 2018 and my first crack at historical painting, British 8th Army Black Watch.

I am going to do bits to the bases but otherwise the British are done and it is onto the Germans.

Picked these up at a local fair but they need work as they currently don’t blend with the table.

Again inspired by what I saw at the boot camp I picked up 3 bags of palm trees which I will super glue to 2ps and cover in sand.

this is super cheap. I will probably wash the trunks and palms to give a bit of shade.

So I want to start building a table so I can play even yes unpainted models (gasp!).

Now at the boot camp, the team did some awesome work with real sand, I have four children so if I put real sand onto a table I would be finding it in undesirable places forever.

So I have gone with a mat from Deepcut, I think it should work for things like both Desert War, Wild West and other sandy type situations.

I love these mats I have several now for different layouts.
