Black Seas Unboxing: HMS Victory

Gerry is back with another Black Seas unboxing. This time it's HMS Victory from Warlord Games.
You certainly don't want to see this hulking behemoth barrelling down a strait towards you. The 104-gun first-rate ship of the line is, of course, for use with the British faction in Black Seas. A combination of resin and metal parts, there are few mould lines and the only real complication in the assembly would be in whether you choose to apply the rigging to the piece.
Will you be attaching Vice-Admiral Nelson's flag and recreating the Battle of Trafalgar?

I am a proud owner of the Victory, and agree with everything you said about it. I do wish there was actually a commercially viable way of producing the masts in something other than metal, as I just think they are a little too long and bendy for me to ever be relaxed about them as a gaming piece – I don’t have the skills or tools to scratch build them from brass rod to the standard I would want them.
would you try plastic, styrene rod and sheets would be very easy to scratch build?
Makes more sense, I just have brass on the brain.

Those ships appear to be consistently prettier than I would have thought
Another lovely looking kit. I’d still be concerned about removing some ‘flash’ only to realise it was actually part of the mast. It’s exactly the sort of stupid thing I’d do.

A fabulous looking ship you may have seen this but victory is still an active flagship in the navy.
