DGS Games have shown off the progress on another of their new female miniatures for Freeblades. The Urdaggar will most likely be bowing down before the Valkyrie who is looking fantastic with a mix of both Nordic and South American influences...

Urdaggar Valkyrie (Front)

While it's not immediately noticeable the use of the headdress in that style alongside the addition of all the feathers gives the model an Aztec or Mayan vibe which I think is neat and sets it apart from the traditional view of a Valkyrie.

The Valkyrie is also clad from head to toe in armour which has been stitched together from animal skins. I would imagine that she had to hunt the great bird in order to become a Valkyrie.

The sculpting is by Gael Goumon and I think that it's been a great step in the right direction for DGS having him on the team. All of their new models have been fantastic!

What do you think of this clash of iconic designs?
