Fiendish Fabrications Get On Their Voodoo Hoodoo

Fiendish Fabrications have released three Voodoo Loa called the Ghede onto the tabletop, ready to run around and wreak havoc, while drinking lots of rum and rubbing themselves with chilli?

These cheerful chappies are the guardians of the graveyard, making sure no one is getting up again who shouldn't be.

These minis could make for some fun voodoo themed skirmish or role playing scenarios. They might also be nice additions to an undead army, grave diggers driven insane and now joining the ranks of those they once interred. You could imagine the one with the spade in the front rank of a group of zombies.

They’re fun sculpts – I like how the one with the spade is pole vaulting with it – but again not the best. It’s not that they’re cartoony (I actually like that mix of humour and darkness) but they’re just not finely done. Still, not Fiendish Fabrications’ worst work. These might work in Empire of the Dead or in 7TV as Live Or Let Die-style henchmen from a particularly exotic location.

The guy on the left from Live and Let Live is the pick of the bunch for me.
But that isn’t saying much. Frankly I find them embarrassing, the of quality of sculpting is below par imho

The paint job doesn’t help and it starts getting uncomfortably close to Jim Crow parody.

Like the idea of cemetery “caretakers” cropping the undead as they pop up. The concept is good, just poorly executed

Those sculpts are absolutely terrible, reminiscent of some of the earliest mini’s in the 70’s. Looks like they’re made of play dough…maybe that’s the intent?
