Come and join us for another delve into the Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great looking pieces this week...

Community Spotlight: Shadowy Demons, Cyberpunk Dioramas & Marvel Guardians!

...make sure to always let us know what YOU have been working on and share it across the site.

Shadows Of Brimstone Demons by maledrakh

We start off this week with a delve into the world of Shadows Of Brimstone. Here we have some terrifying looking creatures which have been painted up for this expansive and incredibly deep game of tabletop adventuring.

Shadows Of Brimstone Beasts #1 by maledrakh

Each of these miniatures has been given a seriously bloodthirsty and bloodcurdling look and I would not want to bump into them when in a dark alley! These Otherworld creatures are from one of the expansions for the game and have been brought to life using a mixture of classic paints, washes and the new contrast paints from Citadel as well.

Shadows Of Brimstone Beasts #2 by maledrakh

I was really pleased with the amount of gribbly detail which has been worked into each of these miniatures and the horribly slick and wet looking bases really help to frame the models nicely. I like that the stand out elements of the miniatures have been made front and centre thanks to some lighter colours. Those toothy maws are looking incredibly hungry!

You can dive in and check out the entire collection as well as a breakdown of the different elements which went into their creation over on the project link above. I think it shows off just how impressive you can make slimy monsters given a few evenings worth of work. Even those writhing masses that you can see at the front are looking great and I love the undulating flow of green light across the models.

Cyberpunk Diorama by blinky465

Next, we're stepping into a project which is a good mix of traditional hobbying as well as some interesting electronic additions. This project was for a Titan Forge competition and blink465 has really taken things to the next level with both the scenery and the final look.

Cyberpunk Diorama #1 by blinky465

As you can see, this is a Cyberpunk scene as two characters have been cornered by some rather overzealous looking policemen. As it stands this is loads of fun with detail all over the place. The characters have been painted up really nicely and the graffiti takes things to another level.

Cyberpunk Diorama #2 by blinky465

Because this is blink465 though, there had to be some electronic elements in the mix as well. In the video below you'll see how all of this comes together to create a really dynamic scene which has been captured by this diorama.

Have a watch of the video and then dive in and explore the project in more detail above. blinky465 has been getting stuck into the mix and explaining every step of the process. Maybe it will inspire you to do something with electronics too?

Guardians Of The Galaxy by hazyboy75

Last but not least for this week we're going to be looking at the sterling work on an expanding Marvel: Crisis Protocol collection by hazyboy75. I decided to focus in on the Guardians Of The Galaxy models that hazyboy75 has been working on recently although he has painted pretty much all of the heroes and villains to date!

Guardians Of The Galaxy #1 by hazyboy

One of the awesome things about hazyboy75's project is that it goes into a lot of detail as to how to paint each step of the model. So, with Starlord here they went into detail and talked about painting the coat, weapons, facial details and everything else in order to bring the model to this finished state. I think this is probably one of their best models to date!

Guardians Of The Galaxy #2 by hazyboy

Coming in a close second we've also got the neat partnership between Rocket Raccoon and Groot which almost comes together into a little vignette of its own thanks to the root which is bursting out of the ground. I really liked the addition of the mechanical leg on the base which harks back to the first Guardians Of The Galaxy film.

Also, check out how brilliant Groot looks!

Guardians Of The Galaxy #3 by hazyboy

I suppose you could say that this was a simple paint job but I think it has been made that extra bit special thanks to good use of washes and then choice highlights across the model. Groot is another of my favourite characters from the Marvel universe and it's nice to see him painted up so well.

As noted above, make sure to check out the project in full as hazyboy75 explores painting loads of the heroes and villains and provides hints and tips for doing so.
