Medbury Miniatures have some great miniatures available on their Patreon right now for those with a 3D Printer but you can also get some great miniatures in 28mm from their webstore. See what you think of their new Fantasy additions, the Elves!

Elf Commanders - Medbury Miniatures

Each of the sets that Medbury has been working on comes in that gorgeous metal that you see above. There is a distinct Middle-earth vibe to them but they would be a fitting range to include alongside a whole host of Fantasy wargames. I think these would be very good for those looking at Oathmark and seeking to perhaps start building a Wood Elf-themed army for example.

The Command set is great and comes with a Standard Bearer, Champion and Musician blowing on their ivy-wrapped horn. These leaders could then be introduced to your army alongside the Elf Rangers.

I am a big fan of the poses where you've got a variety of troops reloading, aiming, firing and others at rest. The mix between the scale mail and the cloth/leather is also great and you could see these painted up in Autumn tones. Imagine these with brown/orange clothing and bronze armour. I think they'd look gorgeous! The masks up over their faces also fit nicely with that cunning Wood Elf vibe!

Another recent addition to the collection has been the Gwyrdgalas Warriors Axe And Shield who could form the elite guard who stand before your lord and the enemy. You can get them with shields on the backs or in hand and they look murderously cool!

The miniatures come with round bases of squares depending on what you'd prefer and I think these could form a great starting point for a new army. It doesn't bode well for my wallet that I have already been thinking of the scheme that I would use for these miniatures.

A Dwarven King!

Last but not least, another Dwarf joined their webstore. King Hildinger Gemwearer, Lord Of The Sapphire Ridges could be a great character to have leading your army into battle or perhaps tasked with the reclamation of an ancient kingdom.

He again comes in metal and looks bloody lovely. I like the gems worked into his armour (which befits the name!) and the warcry coming from his lips as he gets ready to charge into battle. You could either go venerable with this fellow and paint the beard white (as above) or make him something of a young firebrand, perhaps with a big red beard!

Make sure to check out more of Medbury's range over on their webstore! We'll make sure to take a peek at the Historical side of things soon as well.

Will you be scooping these up?
