The original file are huge some i use Tinker CAD(It free Computer assisted Design Software for simple 3 D design) to assess the file size and condition i had to reduce it down to 25%for my prpose.

(01) The fist model i import is damage (the original models were for the Fallout Video Game and is not suited to 3D printing ). I could try program like Meshmixer( sculpting-based CAD) to rebuild, but instead look at the 2 other vertibird  file i downloaded.

(02) This model look good at first damn good in fact, but the more i look it over the more i see issue.

(03) the exterior look like a nightmare to print and interior is mostly close off i going to have problem with support.

(04)This is the last of the model i downloaded and it seam to better than the rest and i think it a good starting point.

(05) is the file i export form Tinker CAD ( if a  STL File).

(06) My First issue (of many) I load the STL file in Cura  3.0(slicing software which convert STL to Gcode for the 3D print understand )the file to big for my Build plate you can tell by the model is transparent.

(07)I use Cura to resize the vertibird another 30% and rotate it yo fit.

(08) Cura has i huge library of setting you can tweak but for now i just use the default and choose PLA filament printing on Low quality (.15 thickness) This is over 3 time my nozzle diameter. This cause a lot of stringing of the filament until i tweak the retraction setting.  All seem great until i view the layer and of course there ton of support.

(09) OMG print time almost 2 day. Not a very good start LOL
