A new Warhammer Age Of Sigmar Warcry set is going to be landing soon featuring the Cities Of Sigmar and some awesome new sculpts for the Ogors of The Mortal Realms. Monstrous and ravenous beasts clash with plucky scouts in Hunter And Hunted.

This set works in a similar way to previous ones in that it comes with two new warbands and the rules to play them but not the bevvy of terrain we're used to getting. The reasoning being that Games Workshop reckon you've probably got quite enough of the Gnarlwood already!

Leading the way for the miniatures, we have the Gorger Mawpack which puts a new spin on a classic Ogre miniature from Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Gorger Mawpack // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry

The Gorgers were forever-hungry and wild additions to the Ogre army that you could sneak on via the rear of the enemy army to harass artillery crews and more. In The Mortal Realms they are just as hungry, left on the fringes of their tribes as they fight an insatiable hunger that turns them into vicious killers.

The set features five of these monstrous warriors that, on their own, would be a challenge for someone to take down. I really like the howling maws, the bones strapped to their bodies and the frenzied poses they're in. They are like Ghouls on steroids! A properly characterful set of miniatures and something new for the Ogors as well as for use in Warcry.

The same goes for the Wildercorps Hunters.

Wildercorps Hunters // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry

These scouts of The Cities Of Sigmar are sent ahead of the Dawnbringer Crusades in order to make sure the way is clear. Other times, they get used on special missions to hunt the beasts of the realms and bring them to heel. Adept with traps and ambushes, armed with deadly crossbows and helped out by a pack of faithful hounds, these mortals might not have the shining armour of the Stormcast but are no less deadly.

These hunters have been sent deep into the woods because of a disturbance brought on by the Mawpack above. Something is stirring and it's very hungry!

Mawpit - Warhammer Age Of Sigmar Warcry

Mawpit // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry

The Mawpit is the new piece of terrain that you get in this set and what your scenarios are going to be focused on. This hungry route into the realm itself is believed to be a manifestation of the Ogor Gulping God and they will protect it with their lives. This seems like the kind of thing you'd want to remove from the equation if you were seeking to found a new city nearby.

This set should be coming relatively soon and offers up a neat way to add two new Warcry warbands into the mix. I still maintain Warcry is one of the best systems Games Workshop has developed in years and is very overlooked. It's a great way to get your foot in the door when it comes to Warhammer Age Of Sigmar, especially with its characterful warbands.

Will you be picking this set up?
