The Forged In Battle range grows with the Dacians being added to the armies available through their War & Empire II Kickstarter to bring out both the Legions of Rome and their enemies. See what you think of these previewed warriors here in 15mm...

Dacians (Main)

They have previewed some of the finished painted minitures that you'll find bolstering your Dacian force. Here we have some of their cavalry as well as infantry with their deadly curved swords which could carve through enemies with ease.

The falx, to give it its proper name, was a scythe like weapon which was used by the Dacians and then later by the Romans themselves. They could actually cut through the heavy armour of the Roman soldiers and the Legions were forced to improve and adapt their armour with leather padding to try and counter its effectiveness.

As mentioned above the falx was eventually used as a siege weapon of sorts where the curved blade could be worked into stone walls to pull away the bricks.

The Dacians were certainly a dangerous foe for Rome!
