Scions Of The Flame Warband by kojohan

We start with a part of the Mortal Realms which continually draws me towards it and that's Warcry! Here we have the Scions Of The Flame warband from the new Catacomb set which have been painted by kojohan in a new project. These look awesome!

This is an excellently painted warband which shows off just how interesting and diverse the folks at Games Workshop have made the various forces of Chaos embroiled in battles across the Mortal Realms. I really like the way that kojohan has more-or-less followed the core paint scheme for this warband throughout and done it really well. The metallics look awesome and they work nicely against their regular clothes.

As well as painting the regular elements of the miniatures nicely there is, of course, the well-painted flame as well! The flames have been painted really nicely and they have even given off a little bit of a glow here and there across their arms and armour. You can see some of kojohan's other painting here as well and it is quite a nice collection!

There are a few more images for you to check out on the project above but I also have to commend kojohan for these photographs as well! I am always interested in finding miniatures which have been painted AND photographed well. These look like they could have come right from the pages of White Dwarf during a battle report for example. A big thumbs up in that regard!

HeroQuest Reborn by spea6712

We are returning to something from spea6712 this week who has been tinkering away on a selection of random models and in particular this awesome set of HeroQuest miniatures for those returning to the game. This is a selection of the miniatures from the team at Zealot.

The paint schemes here straddle the line between the classic paint schemes with their lurid colours and something more modern and grim. The way the colours have been brought together across their armour and such, especially with the Chaos Warrior, look fantastic and I really like that swirl of magic around the base of that maniacal villain.

I do enjoy seeing these miniatures getting painted up as we've seen them in plain resin for so long now! I hope that once we see a few miniatures we're going to see even more popping up from community members. When this is complete it would be fun to return to the old board to see how they all look.

Death High Heroes by irishsteve

Now for something entirely different! Here we have some more painting from the Kingdom Death collection by irishsteve who always returns to his project with a new fantastic selection of characters he has been working on recently. Here we have some more of the Death High characters who are going to be battling against evil spirits and more.

This is a great selection of very different characters who have been painted, based and photographed in exceptional style. I'm not often drawn to this style of miniature but I think the way that irishsteve has brought this brought them to life is bloomin' stunning.

If you're interested in the idea of painting up some anime/manga-style miniatures then these certainly suit. It's also nice to see just how different each of the characters are too. You've got the dark and spooky looking witch and then the bright and poppy gamer here too.

Things then get much more bloody with this character which also got added into the mix this week!

Whereas the other two characters could probably be heroes I can't see this lady being on their side! The basing, in particular, was really striking here too with those streaks of blood across the tiles of some haunting bathroom.
