Happy weekend!
The Shadowspear box looks soooo good!
I’m torn by the factions, I collect both but I think the Librarian swings it for me, what a great model!
So for the new Chaos stuff, you dont need to buy the new Codex but you can use the the one from 2 years ago but you need to buy Shadowspear, some PDFS and and a campaign book to have all the new material to keep your force up to date. Seems strange
it’s pretty much the GW way, buy buy buy. I remember they released a dark elf army book a year apart because it needed updated.
But I thought this was the age of the cuddly and fluffy GW who were in touch with the common man
Oh, they’re in touch with you & your wallet! 😎
lol
To be fair, if one bought the electronic version of the codex, one gets the updated electronic version for free….
That can’t have happened often.
If you have the digital version it is being updated for free. TBH i don’t see what more they can do. Short of someone coming round to the house of everyone with a physical copy of the codex and glueing extra pages in, how are you going to avoid extra paperwork?
Gerry, you will have to ditch 4Ground, sneak out and have a drink with the London local Beasts.
The Frostgrave mat looks great. Will see if they have in a 3 x 3.
Love the Laughingboy kitbash idea. Defiantly interested. Never played Mordheim so will need to research first. 😊 Great show. Now off to bed. Night shifts are pants sometimes.
Faction in the box? From W40k? Or any faction ever? Chaos, Orks, Imperium (Star Wars)
Mike Loades is great to watch. I’ve got a couple of his books, which are fantastic, he writes with the same amount of enthusiasm as he talks.
Wonder if they’re on audible and if so does he narrate them; needs to be him doing it to get the full effect. 😉
i think from painting, chaos are more the more interesting faction
The new Chaos Space Marines look really good. I’m almost tempted, speaking as a decade long Imperial player – I’m even in bed, Nurglified at the moment!
At any rate, I’m at least looking forward to playing against them if not with then.
Great show guys, a nice way to start a Saturday
THANKS
Happy Weekend! & goodbye Youtube monetisation 😅
Definitely liking the new Vanguard Marines from Shadowspear.
I’m for the Imperium. Thanks for the show, see you all tomorrow.
OMFG Shadowspear! I’d play Chaos because they look awesome! The Alt-Chaos marines (the blue ones according to Gerry) are fine models too and I’d play them too. GW won me back when they released Rogue Trader for Kill Team, bringing me back to when the first Rogue Trader came out and I played Space Orks vs Womble Marines. I still like the beaky helmeted gents.
so Chaotic I’d keep my eyes on Horus 2.0 or Rowboat as he insists on calling himself!
I’d go Chaos for Shadowspear but wouldn’t be getting being painted black… its Chaos, open to every colour under the sun and they paint them black…
Also those Warlord/Saxon Miniatures are fantastic as are the new Footsore cavalry command. Agreed with Gerry on Paul Hicks. I particularly like his faces.
They’re painted black because Black Legion are the Smurfs of Chaos. 😜
Great show again. Maybe Chaos, but the marines are nice too.
i like all the minis in this set however i have to leen towards the marines as it was the new primarus figures that got me back into 40k
The new Chaos minis are fantastic!
It may he an unpopular opinion, but I haven’t added any Primaris models to my collection yet, so I must say the Vanguard in the Shadowspear box are looking pretty good to me!
Un-spikey Chaos!
New Primaris models look awesome!
Oh for a venomcrawler to tiptoe into my Deathguard…… Yup my pick is the ruinous powers of chaos
Any terrain in a SW game – that’s the beauty of 40k too; slap anything down and you can justify it. Even something like Infinity terrain that’s too sleek and ‘clean’ can be explained away as belonging to a minor Xenos faction. In fact the way things are in 40k you could even slap down sci-fi stuff next to unmodified Dark Age stuff and it fits.
Spikey Castle – I can imagine it’d get annoying quickly if you keep catching your hands on the spikes. Not as bad as a block of pikemen with brass pokes mind you, 😝.
Mike Loades is historian gold.
I’m with Justin; those footprints are just Bob wandering about.
Frostgrave lighting would be great for Mordheim too. 😉
As usual, I wanted to attend Adepticon this year. But once again work has risen up and slapped that bit of hope out of my hand and shredded that dream to bits. I’ll be relieing on Dawn & Gianna to give me that “you are there experience” through their reports and interviews.
The Norman leaders look sharp and the Breton Chargers will make great conscripts for my Norman army.
Spectre Miniatures are currently shipping their new rulebook ‘Spectre Operation Second Edition’. It’s a really well put together book and builds on the first edition. I’m looking forward to diving deep into this volume and generating some interesting Modern Warfare 28mm scenarios for the tabletop! If you missed it “G” gave us a first look at this new rulebook on Thursday’s SITREP Twitch Channel.
As far as the box set goes, I want it all. I love the direction the sculpts are going.
Favorite faction is Chaos, Word Bearers FTW
I watched the unboxing, now I want this! I like the chaos but I prefer the marines of course
I need them for my Alpha Legion…Both of them…>:)
