There are some fun options out there in the wild now for those playing out Riot Quest skirmishes from the folks at Privateer Press. There are two neat expansions worth having a look at, for example, starting with Heist.

Heist Expansion - Riot Quest

Heist provides you with a brand new way to play the game. Instead of picking up Scrap or Bounty, you'll instead be looking to steal Treasure Chests from around the arena and return them to your home base. Hence, the Heist! However, the game's inbuilt AI, the Security System, will be sending bots to thwart you whenever they can!

As well as the new style of game for you to dive into, Heist also comes with Princess Delores Graciela (top) as a Gunner Class Hero for you to use in your games. As you might have guessed by the miniature, she isn't shy of using guns and won't be stopped! She can fire pretty much all of them at once AND at multiple targets.

Steal That Bounty

If you are sticking to the past ways of playing Riot Quest then you might find this set quite handy. There is a pack of Bounty Tokens you can snaffle up from Privateer Press.

This set replaces the tokens found in the Riot Quest Starter Boxes and adds a bit more fun to your games. These kinds of upgrades are always welcome, especially if you're very much into a particular game. The Bounty Expansion also comes with a new set of cards that add even more weird rules into your games.

Fancy A Boss Fight?

Lastly, at least when it comes to game modes, there is also this Riot Quest Boss Fight Expansion which features Karchev & Deathjack, Malignant Fusion.

This particular release comes with rules for allowing one-to-four players to take on Karchev together. This fellow sits in the middle of the playspace and you'll have to work together to take him down and win the game.

You will also find rules for using Karchev & Deathjack as a regular member of your Riot Quest team. Well, if he can be subdued long enough to bring him onside I guess! Maybe the person who deals the finishing blow in your cooperative game could end up getting the chance to use him?

New Riot Quest Heroes

As well as new game modes and such, you can also pick up a suite of new characters for you to use in your games. Which one has caught your eye?

I like that Riot Quest allowed the team at Privateer Press to get creative with the characters they could bring to the tabletop. There are, of course, plenty of nods to Warmachine and Hordes throughout but all of the characters feel unique and interesting, at least in their design.

Is Riot Quest one of those games that you're going to crack out and give a go in 2022?
